Bryan W. Rubach, M.D., Director of the Center for Cosmetic & Laser Surgery located in Naperville, is a leader in the field of aesthetic surgery. Dr. Rubach was initially recognized for his innovative work at the University of California - San Francisco with the Coherent Laser Company. He was instrumental in the research and development of the Ultrapulse CO2 Laser which is used to rejuvenate aging and sun damaged skin. Dr. Rubach's research with this laser led to some of the first published articles describing the benefits and techniques of laser resurfacing and his work propelled him to the forefront of laser surgery. He served as a national preceptor for Coherent Laser and was directly involved in teaching and lecturing on a national level. Dr. Rubach continues to be recognized as an authority on laser surgery and continues to teach and lecture nationally in the field of aesthetic surgery.
His training began at the University of California - Santa Barbara where he graduated with a B.A. in Pharmacology with high honors and a member of Alpha Lambda Delta honor society. He earned his M.D. degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and continued with his internship in General Surgery and Residency in Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. Rubach completed an intensive Fellowship in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California - San Francisco, where he was appointed clinical instructor in the division of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, in the department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery. Finally, Dr. Rubach completed a comprehensive training program in Tumescent Liposculpture in southern California. Dr. Rubach is currently licensed in Illinois and is a fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr. Rubach serves annually as a faculty member for the Osler Board review courses, lecturing and providing oral examinations.
