The nose is one of the most significant and defining features on a face. The goal of rhinoplasty is to improve the nose aesthetically, making it harmonize better with other facial features.

A splint is worn on the outside of the nose for 5 to 7 days. Minor swelling and/or bruising is possible following surgery, however, keeping the head elevated can minimize this. It is then a matter of time when the nose starts to take the shape intended by the surgeon. After six months to one year, the nose will be at its permanent shape.
