A temporary non-surgical treatment used to smooth out facial wrinkles, lines and scars.

Over time, emotional expressions such as smiling, laughing and frowning can cause wrinkles in the skin overlying the facial muscles. BOTOX® Cosmetic injections block the nerve impulses that cause these facial muscles to contract. BOTOX® Cosmetic treatments are used to improve the appearance of worry lines, laugh lines, frown lines, crow's feet, and other wrinkles associated with an animated face. These treatments last approximately 3 to 4 months.

The procedure relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles so they do not contract. The treatment requires 15 minutes with no need for a recovery period. Patients can return to work or social activities immediately.
