Julie Michalski is a circulating nurse in the operating room at the Center for Cosmetic and Laser Surgery. Julie graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1991 with a degree in nursing; and then, from 1991 to 1999, she worked in the oncology department at Evanston Hospital. During the later part of those years she worked in the QI/COC department where she was a major contributor in the patient discharge process.
Julie has been with CCLS for 13 years, and she excels at being that person who makes the patient feel at ease on the day of their surgery. She helps get each patient well prepped and ready for what is to follow with a big smile on her face. It might be fair to say that Julie has never had a bad day, and she is known in the CCLS family as “the nicest person in the world.” It is her goal—one which she accomplishes—to make each patient feel completely comfortable both before and after their surgery.
Julie has stayed in the aesthetic industry for a fairly long time because she says it makes her feel good to be a part of helping people become the better versions of themselves that they desire. She finds their positive demeanor and excitement after their recovery to be so gratifying.
When Julie is not in the operating room, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her three grown daughters. She also loves to take yoga and spin classes.
