Daphne graduated from Northern Illinois University with a BA in Psychology in 1997. She then entered the work force as a social worker for a subacute rehab, where she specialized in case management and discharge planning. However, in 2004 Daphne decided to return to school for nursing, and she obtained a BSN from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She now has 15 years of nursing experience, which includes 12 years in acute care. During those years of nursing, she also obtained certification in medical-surgical nursing (CMSRN) and being a pediatric chemotherapy provider (APHON). This extensive nursing experience includes pediatrics, perioperative nursing, and 6 ½ years in the OR. Daphne’s specialties include neurospine, ENT, plastics, and robotics.
Outside of work, Daphne enjoys spending time with her 2 children. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, running, and cycling. She also enjoys attending concerts and watching baseball games.
