WHAT IS A LASER:
A laser is a device that uses light to create changes in the skin and soft tissues. There are many different types of lasers and they all have specific problems that they address. Choosing the appropriate laser for your specific problem requires experience and expertise.

BBL (Broad Band Light):
This is a non invasive, no downtime procedure with very high patient satisfaction. Aging and sun exposure often create brown spots, dilated blood vessels, and textural changes in the skin. BBL treats these problems with a simple relatively quick procedure with no downtime. Typically patients undergo 3 to 5 treatments to achieve the desired results. We recommend and often combine prescription level skin care to ensure long lasting results.* Our staff can evaluate and create a specific treatment plan that is ideally suited for your skin type as we offer many different skin care products.
PROFRACTIONAL LASER THERAPY:
Aging skin occurs with the loss of collagen. Once this occurs, wrinkles and textural changes become visible. Laser therapy is designed to increase the amount of collagen in the skin. A minimally invasive technique to achieve this is called Profractional Erbium Laser Therapy. This involves creating microscopic channels in the skin while leaving the surrounding skin intact. This stimulates the healing process and activates fibroblasts in the skin which create new collagen. The result is improved texture, tone and appearance with minimal downtime.* Typically patients can return to their normal activities in 3 to 4 days.
SKIN RESURFACING:
Patients that have more severe sun damage and deep wrinkles will require resurfacing. Laser skin resurfacing utilizes the laser to remove the outer damaged layers of the skin. New healthy skin grows back in place of the damaged skin.. Full face laser resurfacing removes fine and deep lines, color irregularity, and textural problems as well as improves acne and other scarring. This process requires longer healing however dramatic improvements are achieved.
